There might be a smarter way to achieve what I want, and so I'm also all ears to doing things in a different way. Happy to clarify if that's nonsense, and thanks for any tips. I know that can be achieved, and that's fairly easy to set up, but I'm wondering, if I wanted to do the same for Brass, and use the same buttons, they're no longer available to me, because they belong to switch group 1 already. I've set everything up in Cubase, and I was wondering if, when pressing the 'woodwinds' button, I then caused various other buttons to change state and display (for example) my list of sample libraries in the woodwinds family (VSL, Infinite, Berlin etc etc). The Steinberg EuCon Adapter for Cubase 6.5.0 and Nuendo 5.5.2 available here is required for the use of the AVID Artist and Pro Series Controllers. I'm thinking about getting even more granular (this is NOT procrastination, you understand, lol), and focussing (for example) only on the Infinite Woodwinds. I've also synced the mix console with the project window as well, which is great. I've set up various families (woods, brass etc) to display at the click of a button. I'm controlling visibility in Cubase with Scenes - all working great.
